ILMARI NIKLANDER JOINS HALT, BUZAS & POWELL, LTD. AS STAFF ACCOUNTANT

ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 15 – CPA and management consulting firm Halt, Buzas & Powell, Ltd. (HB&P) announced today that Ilmari Niklander has joined the firm as a Staff Accountant.

Mr. Niklander is a 2007 Summa Cum Laude graduate of Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pennsylvania earning a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting. In February of this year he earned Advance Certification in Financial Planning from Mercyhurst.

“Mr. Niklander has not only demonstrated scholastic excellence, he has exhibited extraordinary leadership and athletic skills since his teenage years,” said HB&P Managing Partner Steve Halt.

“As a teenager he played on the Finnish Under 16 National Soccer Team. He shared his love of soccer by coaching children. He attended Mercyhurst on a college soccer scholarship, playing on the team for five years and served on the Student Athletic Advisory Committee. And even with that demanding schedule, Ilmari was consistently on the Mercyhurst College Dean’s List and won the PICPA Outstanding Senior Award in 2007.
